Job Title: Chief Operating Officer, Institutional Banking
Sreeram Iyer is the Chief Operating Officer for ANZ Bank’s Institutional Banking business.
Sreeram is active in LinkedIn on topics relating to the intersection of Banking with Fintech, Robotics, and Automation.
He is passionate about Financial Literacy for graduate students and for the underprivileged. As part of his deep interest in education, he runs a program to build 10 schools
for kids in Vietnam, impacting some 4,000 kids by 2018.
Sreeram has earned his learning experiences from MIT; London Business School; Henley Management College (MBA) and from INSEAD. He is also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst; Management Accountant and a Company Secretary from India.
At ANZ, Sreeram is responsible for supporting Institutional business strategies across several countries, generating value for customers through Technology and driving Operations in all the regions of ANZ’s business. His focus includes Retail Banking Operations for Asia. His teams are spread across 20 countries and exceed 1,500 staff.
Sreeram has more than 25 years of experience; including 18 years at Standard Chartered Bank, with responsibilities across diverse functions, disciplines and geographies.
He has driven the strategies for establishment of Offshore Shared Service Centres and ran them as CEO for many years.
He lives in Singapore with his family.
